New Office Openings, New Web Training Technology and Thank You's......

I am pleased to announce that Stewart, Cooper & Coon has opened a Midwest Regional office in Kansas City, KS. It is being directed by Lana Sandy, a career professional who has operated multiple offices since the early 90s. Lana is an expert in managing career change for a wide range of candidate types and industries. Two more regional offices are targeted to open in the first quarter of 2005. They are the Washington/Baltimore and Rocky Mountain Regions. We will keep you posted.

On another note, I will be describing a web-based training program that we are developing that uses HTML, not streaming, technology to deliver portions of our candidate training to our clients. This technology allows us to deliver real-time viewing speed no matter what the modem access. I am really excited about this technology and the training content we will offer. It will be accessible 24-7 by anyone with proper pass codes. Additionally, we will use teleconferencing in a lab format to support live discussion of the virtual training modules.

I also envision offering these to selected career personnel to use with their clients at no cost to assist us in testing this technology and delivery method. If you would like to be one of the participating testing users, you may contact me about how it could work for your clients and how you can integrate it smoothly into your delivery modes.

On a personal note, I just want to thank all of our subscribers for your loyalty. According to my staff, in 2004 we expanded our readership to include job seekers and career professionals on all continents except Antarctica.

I personally welcome all contributions that assist those in job search become better at that task. To those career professionals who have contributed articles for this publication, I offer my heartfelt thanks. Moreover, we can always use more of those excellent pieces, so keep them coming.

Finally, with so much going on around us in the world, in 2005, let us think of how we can help those in need and contribute to producing a better United States of America. Resolutions are a waste of time if they are not acted upon and implemented. Make yours now and then implement them....just do it!

Happy New Year to each and every reader.
